The Druze of the Carmel

The Druze people practice a secret religion which broke off of Islam about 1000 years ago. They have a traditional way of life, and only the ones who dedicates their life to the religion way of living of this sect becomes a confidant of the group.
Today, most Druze are centered in Syria, Lebanon and Israel, and wherever they live they are loyal to their country. In Israel they are very active members of society and of the armed forces.
We will visit the Druze villages on the Carmel ridge – Daliat El Carmel and Usafia, we’ll enjoy the remarkable atmosphere of the area, meet members of the community who will tell us their singular stories, walk the village lanes and of course we will enjoy traditional Druze hospitality and wonderful delicacies!
